Fuller Landau launches new foundation
Fuller Landau is thrilled to announce the launch of The Fuller Giving Foundation. The goal of our foundation is to help make a difference where it’s needed most by supporting non-profit organizations and causes that are important to our clients and our team. At Fuller Landau, we believe in the importance of giving back. This foundation will allow us to enhance our philanthropic commitment and empower our team to support their communities in ways that are personally meaningful to them.
The foundation will primarily support causes that fall into the following three themes:
- environmental
- social
- team and client causes
The foundation has launched the social giving theme with a $5,000 donation to The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). CAMH is a psychiatric teaching hospital located in Toronto providing high quality care to meet the diverse needs of people facing addiction and mental health challenges. The foundation will also continue to support many team and client causes such as Good Shepherd, Daily Bread Food Bank, and Heart & Stroke.
To kick off the environmental giving theme, our team voted on a charity to receive a $2,500 donation from a shortlist of environmental causes. They chose Evergreen, an urban environmental charity that aims to create community spaces with environmental, social, and economic benefits. Donations of $500 were given to the other worthy charities on the list, including Ontario Nature, Wildlife Conservation Society Canada, Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society, and Ocean Wise Conservation Association.
To assist with the foundation’s governance, team members from different practice groups across the firm volunteered to be on the foundation’s board of directors and advisory council.
